This artist’s originals are all created on acid free support such as watercolor paper, clay board and other surfaces. Watercolors, pastels, charcoal, ink or graphite are the main mediums used. However, the artist is exploring other mediums as well.

GICLéE PRINTS

The type of printing process and paper used are critical to the buyer. Consequently, a state of the art printing process (giclée) and acid free 100% Cotton Rag paper is used to get the best longevity. An experienced professional printer is equally important and is used.

A giclée (pronounced zhee-glay) reproduction print refers to both a category of collective fine art similar to lithographs and serigraphs, as well as, a type of digitally printed fine art reproduction. Not any digital print is considered a giclée however. Only digital prints created on state-of-the-art high resolution printers utilizing archival inks and acid free media can qualify as a true giclée print. These prints provide rich color and painterly details and are often hard to distinguish from original artwork. They are available on fine art papers and canvas. Giclées are laboratory rated to provide several decades, if not a century or more of lasting print quality.

Packaging and Shipping

In order to get your piece to you in top condition, great care is taken in our packaging and shipping process. We hand pack each piece or pieces. Only acid free archival materials are placed next to your piece for shipping. Each original has a sheet of glassine as a protective covering which should be left in place until the piece is framed. In addition, we pack the box with to prevent movement during shipping. Finally, each piece is insured.

Orders typically ship within 3-5 business days. You’ll receive an email to the address you provide during your checkout process when the order ships.

FRAMING CONSIDERATIONS and care

It is recommended that all prints and originals be matted and framed under UV glass (unless otherwise stated) to shield them from atmospheric contaminates such as humidity, smoke, dust and high levels of ozone. When framing aways use acid -free materials. Lastly, remember to select a qualified professional when framing your artwork. Keep all originals and prints out of direct sunlight and moisture.

When framing aways us acid-free materials. If you choose not to mat your print or original, make sure to have the framer place “spacers” between the print and the glass under the frame. The glass should never touch the print or original. In addition, select a qualified professional when framing your artwork.

Avoid touching the surface of a print or original piece. Touching may leave skin oils on them that may show up later. Also, originals that contain pastels can be smudged or smeared. Each original has a sheet of glassine as a protective covering. Leave it in place until framed.
