The Artist

"I consider my pieces to be merely studies of my art process which is ever evolving. Although individual pieces are considered complete, my process renders a vastness waiting to be filled. As I continue to replenish the surface, I realize that it will never be complete. It continues to be an exploration of self and creativity."

Andrew Hazelton, born and raised in White River Junction, VT, is an artist now living in Grove City, PA. He has had a passion for art since childhood. Having grown up in a wonderful rural setting, he has always had a particular appreciation for nature and the solid quality and purity of life in and around it. His hope is that viewers of his work will experience the emotional and spiritual connection he has to his subject matter.

Over the years, Andrew has been in multiple, successful, solo and group exhibitions. In addition, he has been featured in a New Hampshire magazine as an upcoming local artist. He was selected to donate one of his trout paintings to the National Trout Unlimited Convention silent auction held in White River Junction, VT. He has also painted a mural depicting Sicilian culture which was on public display in downtown Grove City, PA for over a decade.

Andrew has a long history of awards including two Director's Choice Awards from the Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts, New Castle, PA, a Corporate Award from the Bald Eagle Art League, Williamsport, PA, and a Juror's Recognition Award from the AVA Gallery in Lebanon, NH. He was selected as a nationally juried group wildlife art exhibitor for several years at the Vermont Institute of Natural Science in Woodstock, VT, and selected as an artist at the McKeever Environmental Center Nature Art Exhibit 2013 & 2014.  In May & June, 2022, he was accepted into the Westmoreland Art Nationals Juried Fine Art & Photography exhibitions in Pennsylvania.

Welcome to my creative journey.
